Early lead gives HBA 1 easy victory over Neptunus 3, 11-1
HBA one refused to relinquish the lead after grabbing it early against Neptunus three, recording an 11-1 victory on Saturday at Rotterdam.
With eight runs in the first three innings, HBA one left no doubt about the eventual outcome.
An RBI triple by Brendan Den Duijn, a fielder’s choice, and a steal of home by Noah Rebel during the first inning and a wild pitch in the second inning supplied the early offense for HBA one.
Brendan had two extra-base hits for HBA one.
Four relief pitchers finished off the game for HBA one. Jasper Rouwe De faced two batters in relief, while Robin Bakker managed to record three outs to aid the victory.
HBA one increased its lead with four runs in the third. A wild pitch scored Mees Otto to start the scoring in the inning.
HBA one added three more runs in the top of the fourth. A error scored Kevin Bakker for the inning’s first run. That was followed up by Robin’s single, scoring Jurrien De Boer.
